CROATIA
Visa length: One year
Application fee: 55,74 EUR
Income requirement: You must earn at least €2,870 per month or have a bank balance of €34,444 if you intend to stay for a year.
To be qualified for the Croatia digital nomad visa, you must meet the following requirements:
- Valid Passport: Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the visa term.
- Work Remotely: You must work as a freelancer, employee, or entrepreneur for companies outside of Croatia.
- International Health Insurance: Your health insurance policy must be valid in Croatia for the duration of your stay.
- Clean Criminal Record: You must provide a certified background check showing no criminal record from your country of residence.
- Temporary Address in Croatia: You need a lease agreement or booking confirmation of your address while staying in Croatia.
PORTUGAL
Visa length: 2 years
Application fee: €83
Income Requirement: Applicants must earn at least 3,280€ per month working remotely and have access to at least 9,840€ in a bank account.
Also there is one more thing to consider – unfortunately Portugal is not a tax-free country for digital nomads. So you have to register your TAX ID and pay it based on the valid rules.
To qualify for Portugal’s digital nomad visa, you must meet the following requirements:
- Valid Passport: Your passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the visa term.
- Earn Passive Income: You must earn passive income through pensions, rental income, dividends, or investment returns.
- Recent Passport Photo: You need recent full-color passport-size photos for your application.
- Proof of Health Insurance: You must have health insurance coverage for the duration of your visa in Portugal.
- Criminal Background Check: You must obtain a background check from your local police proving no criminal convictions.
- Completed Application: Fill out, sign, and print the application to bring to your appointment.
It is worth pointing out Nationality Restrictions for Nationals from Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Iran, Pakistan, Bhutan, Maldives, Ukraine, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka are restricted from receiving this visa.
NORWAY
Visa Length: 2 years

Income requirement: Proof of a minimum gross annual income of €35,719 (bank statement)
There are a number of key requirements that must be arranged for a digital nomad visa to be approved, including:
- Applicant must have a valid passport (a 6-months validity period is usually required)
- Proof of being self-employed or working for a non-Norwegian company
- Health insurance
- A contract with a Norwegian client must state the minimum salary for a skilled employee which is set at 189,39 NOK per hour (approx. 40 euros per hour)
- Proof of accommodation in Norway
- Completed and signed application form and two passport photos
ROMANIA
Visa length: 1 year

Income requirement: Proof of minimum earning requirement. You must provide bank statements or payslips to show that you have been making a monthly income of at least €3,700 ($4,000) in the last six months.
To apply for the Romania digital nomad visa, you need to provide:
- Valid passport
- International health insurance covering at least €30,000 for your entire stay
- Proof of travel arrangements or vehicle registration if driving
- Employment contract showing at least three years with a company outside Romania
- Proof of accommodation (sales, rental, or lease agreement)
- Letter of intent detailing your stay and activities in Romania (with a Romanian translation)
- Proof of remote work
- Clean criminal record certificate from your home country
- Apostilled document showing up-to-date tax and duties payments, with no tax fraud or evasion charges
MALTA
Visa length: 1 year
Application fee: €300
Income requirement: You must earn at least €3,500 per month or €42,000 per year (gross tax) and provide proof of income and bank statements from the last three months.
Standard rules and procedures for obtaining visa are:
- Your passport must be valid.
- have health insurance covering risks in Malta;
- hold of a valid property rental or purchase agreement;
- provide a police conduct certificate; and
- pass a background verification check.
In addition, applicants must prove they fall under any one of the following 3 categories:
- Work for an employer registered in a foreign country and have a contract of work;
- Conduct business activities for a company registered in a foreign country and of which applicant is partner/shareholder; or
- Offer freelance or consulting services, to clients whose permanent establishments are in a foreign country, and with whom the applicant has contracts.
